Sharing Time Instruction:
Before sharing time hide the "Communication Pictures" underneath some of the children's chairs.  Begin sharing time by inviting the primary children to "...imagine they are far from home and need to communicate with their family." (2014 Sharing Time Outline) Have them each think of a way they could communicate with their family. Ask the primary children to look on the bottom of their chairs to see if they have a picture attached. Invite the children with the pictures to the front of the room. Discuss with the children how we could use, a cell phone to text, a cell phone to call, a computer, and a piece of paper, to communicate with our family member.

Ask the children how we communicate with our Heavenly Father? Show the primary children these pictures of people praying: Family Prayer & Child Praying.  Ask the primary children what some of the things are that they notice in the picture? Who are the people acting, what are they doing as they pray?

Show the children the week's theme poster and invite the children to repeat, "Prayer is reverent communication with Heavenly Father."

Place towards the top of the board the "We Begin..." poster. Ask the children how we begin our prayer to Heavenly Father? Then place the word strip, "I thanks thee for..." Explain that we then thank Heavenly Father for the things he has blessed us with in our lives. Ask the primary children what some of the things they are thankful for and write them on the board next to the word strip.  Then place the word strip, "I ask thee for..." Explain that we then ask our Heavenly Father for the things we need. Ask the primary children what some of the things are that they could ask Heavenly Father for. Write these things on the board next to the word strip. Then place the poster, "End by Saying..." on the board. Ask the children what we say at the end of our prayers.

Close by sharing your testimony about praying reverently to Heavenly Father and how he hears and answers our prayers.  Invite the children to make a special effort throughout the week to pray reverently to their Heavenly Father.
